Another year on Aurora. 2024

We have entered 2024. I hope everyone had a good 2023 and New Years with your family, friends, pets or associates. Going into 2024, lets all achieve our goals and try to be happy 😩.

Anyway, to the update. Starting off the year with a big one.

No More Eyes

Introducing No More Eyes. Mentioned a while ago, this is currently experimental and being tested, any bugs or issues that occur please report them for a reward. Also feel free to give your feedback on this feature.

Aurora will no longer display any players that are online. You will not see them on the server list or in the server tab. The players are there, and you will be able to find them and talk to them in-game.

This is to encourage more of the liked anonymised actions and interactions. You could be doing something somewhere and find another person who you didn't even think was online.

You can also do /msg toggle at any time to disable people from /msg'ing you. 

There can be a lot of creativity to No More Eyes, with the ability of being caught lacking more often.

If you have anything more you think should be added on top of this or tweaked, be sure to let us know. We want to keep building more on this style to make the world feel larger and more difficult for people to navigate it as strategically.

Also under No More Eyes, since a couple weeks ago, the map will now only update every so often, or infrequently. You will still be able to use it as gps to see where around you are, but as always you should be careful showing yourself on the map.

Currently there is an issue we know about regarding skins with this update, do not worry, your skin appears normal to other people. However if you see yourself as a default skin, you can always do /skin update or /skin (url). This doesn't always happen as it's a client side thing, but we will work on it.

Some bugs and changes have also been made, notably guns and armoury has been tweaked, guns are slightly more likely to become dirty and jammed from excessive use than before. /logout was also disabled due to the new button at spawn.
