Public Update #68 - The Rule of Consequence

The Rule of Consequence

As of Rule 18 & 15, we just want to make clear of things not to do, and make the rule clearer after some changes were made anyway.
This is being said here to not fill the /rules page up, and to also make sure nobody accidentally breaks the rules. I know it may be "boring" to read, but a quick couple of minutes to make sure you and everyone else understands it will make everything better in the future.

Very simply, you have to value your life. As if you shouldn't have anyway with the death bans, it just adds a layer of player interactivity to Aurora.
Like we have said and changed in the past, your money on you (/bal) can be robbed. There is no limit to this, and all of it can be robbed by anyway in the given opportunity.
"Isn't this overpowered or unfair?" No, because /withdraw exists. You can very easily withdraw your cash into physical form and store it anywhere you see fit.
Now how about the rules regarding that? Of course you must value your life, so lets say you are at gunpoint, you have no cash on you, what other demands can the gunmen make?
Can't they make you take them to your cash stash? No. The only reason for this rule is because it could create an endless cycle, and the people who do take precautions would have no way out of it. However that is the only thing. Other items etc, whether in your ender chest or stashed somewhere, can be information gotten out of you. The rule? is that you act it out. Would you give them the information instantly? What can they do to make you give it? Can they just ask for every single item? No they should at least know what they want.
They also can't make force you to take them anywhere extra. They cannot make the victim take them to other locations. "Take us to your base" would be entirely optional on the victims part.

But if you do have cash on you, treat it as if they find it on you do not try to trick them and give them half or less. If they ask for all, or ask how much, then you say it all. Your /balance should be treated as a physical thing. If you try to swindle or trick them, then you are breaking the rule. This will be remedied and the thieves will be given all of your cash.

Now all of this goes for everything else on you. Every item, infinity stone, everything. It's on you physically. They can take it. This isn't a I'll take the ban or death, because staff will just correct any and all of them without even a ticket being made. But if someone does blatantly break this, make the ticket anyway. Again it's the same with any other demands they have. You should plan around these things, arm yourself if you are afraid of being robbed or plan ahead for it.

Of course every circumstance is different. You are armed and it's 1 man? You can try to take him. You can fight with swords or guns. With an update a while back, you now go down before you die. During this bleeding out phase you can be revived, and players can also access your inventory. But in a downed state, you are in the most vulnerable state. So once again, if someone tells you to give you all of your money when downed, you do it.

How about killing someone after robbing them? Sure. But when you kill someone you will leave a little evidence behind. Death Messages did not receive the "No More Eyes" effect for that purpose. If someone kills you, you will know who it was. This gives you a chance to act back, get your get back.

That should clear about everything with that. It's pretty simple stuff to understand.
If you do have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask and we can also add it here for anyone else.

Some other updates have been made, importantly you can now see players from as far as you can see. (Everyone see's the same amount of chunks, so don't worry about unfair advantage). This will make fighting and spotting much much better.
